What Parents Should Look For In an App

Over the past few months I have done some general reviews of specific games, but today I am going to talk about what a parent should be looking for in an app for their children.  The best app’s for children are the ones that encourage creativity and educate the child. The app should make the child think for themselves and learn while having fun. One thing that parents need to be careful of is the collection of information. Parents should check the information on permissions required for use before they download the app. Things they should look out for are: social connections, location permission (are phone numbers and user locations recorded?) and are there pop up ads? After filtering through all this information, there are still a lot of award winning app’s that are available.

Recommended Apps:

  • Dinosaurs
  • Pocket Frogs
  • Roadside America
  • Benjamin Bunny
  • Pop Math
  • Math Magic
