If you’ve been following our blog, you will have noticed that we’ve featured some very interesting iPhone cases such as the iPhone scubasuit. Some ingenious and some are rather…outlandish. Now we bring to you the iTypewriter! Yes that dusty old machine that’s lying around in your basement has now been revamped to be compatible with your state of the art iPad.
The iPad fits into the typewriter where you would normally put in a piece of paper. When you press a key, a rubber tipped arm taps the screen’s corresponding keyboard. It was created by Austin Yang, an industrial designer. He intended the product to target the elderly so that they could type in a way that was familiar with them. Although I’m not sure if the elderly would have an iPad in the first place then and you’re probably thinking, “Isn’t the iPad simple enough to use already?”. But if you miss the old typewriter days, then this will certainly solve your problem.
