“Christmas, Christmas time is near
Time for toys and time for cheer…”
Yes I know it’s only November, but I can’t be the only one already in a festive mood.
Oh well, it’s never too early to be merry. And to start planning one of the world’s biggest undertakings: a Christmas party. Should we have a separate party for family and friends? Are we going to have a relaxed buffet, or a formal sit-down meal? And what about gifts?
Insert: mental meltdown.
Don’t worry, Kiddology is coming to the rescue with some neat ideas to get your creative juices flowing. Let’s start with food. But not just any food. I’m talking TREE-themed food.
First we have CHEESE trees. You can make these gorgeous pops by decorating cheese wedges with broccoli, chilly flakes, and a savory star.
Next up is an edible fruit tree! Use cookie cutters to create various shapes out of fruits, and hold the fruit pieces to a Styrofoam cone with toothpicks. Simple, but oh so sweet.
Then we have meringue cookies. Please check out Bakers Royale‘s website for the recipe and instructions.
Last up, and my personal favorite, a sushi tree adorned with salmon roes and okra. Fusion at its best.
And that’s all for now! Don’t forget to swing by our Facebook and Twitter pages.
